NWL's kindergarten (ages 3-5) uses Knotion, an international methodology that replaces traditional homework with real-world projects. Available at all 5 campuses, the program includes Philosophy for Children, I'm NWL Leader by Tec de Monterrey, and Bullying Free School protocols. Each campus has unique activities: Milenio offers dance team, cooking, and yoga; San Miguel features art and sculpture. Schedule: 8:20 AM to 1:50 PM.
Knotion: No Homework, Real Projects
At NWL kindergarten, there are no homework notebooks. Knotion replaces traditional homework with interdisciplinary projects where children investigate, create, and present in both Spanish and English. Each project integrates science, language, art, and social-emotional skills.
This international methodology respects each child's pace and develops autonomy, curiosity, and communication skills from age 3. Teachers share digital portfolios with families to track progress.
Philosophy for Children from Age 3
Weekly Philosophy for Children sessions use stories, images, and open-ended questions to explore friendship, justice, emotions, and nature. Children learn to listen, ask questions, and respect different opinions.
This methodology, present at all NWL campuses, develops cognitive and social skills that make a measurable difference in elementary school. It complements I'm NWL Leader by Tec de Monterrey for emotional intelligence.
