Bilingual high school in San Miguel de Allende: preparing your child for the real world
NWL Prepa is the bilingual high school in San Miguel de Allende where your child graduates with a Dual Diploma from HÖKKU Academy, a B2 TOEFL English level and a clear life plan. We combine the official SEP curriculum with the Life Project program, and every student has a personal Life Mentor for all six semesters.

A high school that teaches your child to build their own path
When a parent searches for a bilingual high school in San Miguel de Allende, the real question underneath is always the same — "what will my child actually be when they graduate?". The Life Project program at NWL Prepa is built to answer that with structure: six semesters, six life competencies, a Personal Project and an Integrative Project in each one.
The six semester themes are: 1) growth mindset and personal resilience, 2) social skills and effective communication, 3) innovation and critical thinking, 4) entrepreneurship and business creation, 5) social impact and responsibility, and 6) professional and university preparation. Alongside those themes run Philosophy for Young People, Personal Finance and real-world certifications every semester.
None of it happens alone. Every student is assigned a personal Life Mentor who works with them semester by semester — setting goals, managing stress, defining direction. By graduation, your child is not walking away with just a certificate: they leave with a portfolio of Personal and Integrative Projects they can show in a university interview or a first job conversation.

HÖKKU Dual Diploma: one graduation, two countries, more universities to choose from
At NWL Prepa San Miguel, your child follows the official SEP curriculum and, through our alliance with HÖKKU Academy, earns the American High School Diploma in parallel — recognized in the United States and more than 40 countries. One high school, two credentials, and far more universities on the table at graduation.
The Dual Diploma comes with the College Guidance Program: real support for applying to US universities, writing the admissions essay, finding scholarships and navigating international processes. It is the kind of guidance families usually hire separately. Here it is included.
At the same time, English stops being "a subject" and becomes a measurable graduation outcome: the required exit level is B2 TOEFL. Living in San Miguel de Allende — where Mexican, American, Canadian and European families share the same streets — means that English is practiced outside the classroom every day, in cafés, at cultural events, and in community projects.

Living, creating and preparing in San Miguel de Allende
A typical week at NWL Prepa San Miguel combines the SEP curriculum on the McGraw Hill digital platform — running on Apple devices in the classroom — with Life Project classes in English, a one-on-one session with a Life Mentor, Philosophy for Young People, Personal Finance and a student club. Each semester closes with a Personal Project (the student's own voice) and an Integrative Project with real community impact.
Physical wellbeing is not an add-on: through FitCard, every student gets access to gyms and sports classes in San Miguel, on top of the campus student clubs. Academics and a healthy life walk side by side, because that is how you build a complete adult.
In semesters 4, 5 and 6, optional international exchanges open up, and throughout the year the campus runs intercampus activities with NWL Corregidora and NWL Zibatá. All of it inside a UNESCO World Heritage city full of art, gastronomy and entrepreneurship, where learning becomes part of stepping outside.
